Whitney Call was born in Provo, Utah, and spent most of her life growing up in Portland, Oregon. She got into theater at a young age with school plays and musicals. After taking a creative writing class in high school, Whitney decided to pursue writing. It wasn't until she joined Divine Comedy, a sketch comedy troupe at Brigham Young University, that she realized how much she loved sketch and even taught her own credited sketch comedy class on campus. She stayed in the group from 2008-2012. It was in this sketch group that Whitney met her husband, Stephen Meek, and they married in 2013. From there she devoted her time fully to Studio C, a television sketch comedy show on BYUtv. In 2013, Whitney graduated from Brigham Young University with her Masters of Fine Arts in creative writing with an emphasis in young adult literature.
