Robby Motz - Biography

Robby Motz was born and raised in Burbank, CA. His stage debut was first in an off-beat quirky Nativity pageant called "Nativity: The Musical." He attended John Burroughs High School where he performed in the award-winning show choir program there. After his sophomore year, however, Robby left show choir to pursue his new-found passion for acting, and discovered he had a special liking for comedy. It was during this time that Robby signed on with his manager and began auditioning for television and film in between school hours.

Though he enjoyed mathematics and mechanical physics in high school, Robby decided to pursue a BA in Theatre at Muhlenberg College, located in Allentown, PA. His love of academics earned him a substantial scholarship to attend, and the honor of Dean's List his Sophomore year. However it would be his love of performing that got him involved with multiple performance groups on campus, as well as fully-staged shows. Robby completed his Sophomore year before his life-changing audition for Equals Three required him to take a leave of absence from school.

Equals Three was created in 2009 by Ray William Johnson, and has achieved over 10 million subscribers on YouTube. Robby's first episode, titled "The Resurrection," aired on YouTube on July 16. The change-over in hosts was initially met with both hesitation and excitement, but since Robby's Internet debut, the Equals Three audience has grown to enjoy him. Equals Three has regrown its subscriber count from before it left the air in March 2014, regaining 800,000 subscribers in the year Robby hosted.

Robby has since appeared on multiple YouTube shows including The Fine Brothers' "YouTubers React." On the 24th of July 2015, at the age of 21, Ray William Johnson uploaded Robby Motz's last Equals 3 video to his channel.

Robby claims that he will continue working in entertainment but has no released any of his future plans.
