Tysan Towney is an exciting new Australian talent. Tysan trained at the Australian Academy of Dramatic Art (AADA) with a Bachelor of Performance finishing in 2013. He grew up in Scotts Head NSW, A small beach town. While surfing and training competitively in martial arts, boxing and athletics, Tysan accomplished a spot in a pre-Olympics training program for elite athletes, 'Jumpstart to London'.
He starred in the 2011 short film The Rose Tattoo, directed by Alanna Rose. For theatre he was Rochester in Playhouse Creatures directed by AADA Head, Andrew Davidson. In training Tysan has also worked with experienced Australian TV directors such as Ian Watson and Adrian Wills, physical-theatre practitioners like Kate Champion and theatre director Iain Sinclair.
Tysan Towney will make his TV debut in Wayne Blair's up-coming sci-fi drama Cleverman on ABC in Australia and SundanceTV in the US.
