Erica Shaffer is a member of SAG, AFTRA and AEA. Erica is the lead in 15 independently produced feature films that also have enjoyed festival and distribution success. Some of the films include, A Family Affair (2001), The Truth (2010), The Fall (2006), Catalina Trust (1999), The Socratic Method (2001), Three on a Match (1998) and West Coast (2000).
Erica is a working actor in Los Angeles and has numerous television and commercial credits with at least 10 national commercials running at anytime. Best known for Shake Weight girl. A few of Erica's television credits include guest star and recurring roles on Las Vegas (2003), Un gars du Queens (1998), Windfall (2006), Les feux de l'amour (1973), Charmed (1998), Mind of Mencia (2005), Clubhouse (2004), Fight for Fame (2005), Les dessous de Palm Beach (1991), Les dessous de Veronica (1997), Night Man (1997), Pensacola (1997) and the host of her own shows, Vacation Challenge (2004) on The Travel Channel and "Café Sound" on Access Entertainment Network. Erica enjoys her work in voice over animation and has an array of "characters" to her credit including the lead heroines and villains in Pioneer LLC's, "Nazca", "I My Me Strawberry Eggs", "Paranoia Agent" and "The Amazing Nurse Nanako". Erica is a voice-over artist for radio commercials as well as documentaries for The Learning Channel and The History Channel.
Erica received a BFA in Acting from The United States International University in San Diego and an MFA in Acting & Directing from The University of Arizona. A few of Erica's favorite roles from her theatre career at The Laguna Playhouse include, "Ruth" from "Harvey" - starring Charles Durning. Other favorite roles in theatre include: "Portia" from "The Merchant of Venice", "Myrhhine" from "Lysistrata", "Joanne" from "Come Back to the 5 and Dime, Jimmy Dean", and "Rose of Sharon" from "The Grapes of Wrath". In San Diego, Erica played "Hyacinth" in Scapan directed by the late, great William Ball. Erica is a private speech and acting coach with her own practice on the Westside of Los Angeles.
