Chad Willett has amassed an impressive body of work, over his 20+ years as a professional, in the film, television and theatre business. Currently, he stars in the upcoming film, Becoming Redwood (2012), playing a free- loving hippie father to his golf-crazy son, "Redwood". Chad is also prepping for his next film, The Ferret Squad (????), shooting in Vancouver. In 2010, Chad received a Leo Award for his portrayal of the small-town redneck antagonist in the IFC film, Cole (2009), which was a TIFF favorite. Being from Canada, Les survivants (1993) was Chad's first foray into the Hollywood scene. The film was directed by Frank Marshall and produced by Kathleen Kennedy. Chad is also producing and has 2 films in development, along with his first foray, Becoming Redwood (2012), which is now touring the 2012 festival circuit.
In the Emmy-nominated CBS miniseries, Jeanne d'Arc (1999), Willett starred alongside Leelee Sobieski, Peter O'Toole and Shirley MacLaine. In another CBS event movie, The Locket (2002), Chad starred alongside Academy Award-winner Vanessa Redgrave, as a young man caring for an aging lady in a nursing home. Other selected television credits included series regulars on The Chronicle (2001), Jack & Jill (1999), The Cape (1996), Charmed (1998), Madison (1993) and guest-starred on Dr House (2004), Bones (2005), NCIS: Enquêtes spéciales (2003), Human Target (2010) and Supernatural (2005). Chad currently wrapped guest-starring on Haven (2010) and The Secret Circle (2011).
Chad most recent theatre credits include the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, "Proof", at the Cleveland Playhouse, and "As Bees in Honey Drown", at California's State theatre, The Pasadena Playhouse.
Chad was born in British Columbia to a Canadian father and English/St. Lucian mother. His bloodline dates back to Josephine Bonaparte, the wife of that crazy French dictator. Chad carries four passports, including Canada, USA, British and St. Lucian, and currently resides in Vancouver.
